SARA RYBA NUTRITION offers comprehensive nutrition counseling by certified professionals to address weight management and health concerns. All nutrition programs are rooted in science and are continually updated based on the most current research.

Sara Ryba, RD, CDN, Founder
Sara Ryba, a registered dietitian and a certified nutritionist, has been changing the way people think about food and feel about their bodies for the past seven years. Her extensive knowledge of nutrition science and her ability to help and motivate combine to create a service that is both highly effective and inspirational.

Sara has trained extensively in nutrition sciences both in academic and clinical care settings. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Penn State University and went on to persue a graduate degree at Cornell Medical Center. Sara spent her first few years working in hospitals, counseling patients with diverse medical backgrounds. She then became Nutrition Director of Miavita, an online health and wellness company. At Miavita Sara was responsible for developing nutrition and healthy lifestyle programs. Starting a business that focused on helping people to live healthier lives and feel better about themselves was a natural progression.

Melissa Buczek, MS, RD, CDN
Melissa Buczek, a registered dietitian and certified nutritionist specializing in health writing, began her career as a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics. She then earned registration with the American Dietetic Association upon completion of her dietetic internship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. A recent graduate of Teachers College, Columbia University, Melissa earned her Master of Science degree in Nutrition and Education, with a focus in Mass Media/Communications.

As the Creative Nutrition Director of Sara Ryba Nutrition, Melissa has been an instrumental part of the development and authoring of the Sara Ryba Nutrition Newsletter. In addition, Melissa pursued her passion for writing as a frequent contributor to the Teachers College Nutrition Department newsletter, "The Grapevine," as well as the Greater New York Dietetic Association newsletter, "The Greater New Yorker," covering relevant topics on food, nutrition, and wellness. She is also a member of the American Dietetic Association's Nutrition Entrepreneurs Practice Group, head of the New York State Dietetic Association's New Member Task Force, Annual Meeting Task Force, and the Greater New York Dietetic Association's Public Relations Committee.
